She was a genius a few years ago you are only right in the stock market until your wrong we all know that too well here at xbc. I think any further hikes and they are going too far too fast wait and see the effect first then if needed raise them more prices are cooling.

In the news lately, they talked about this.   I don't know about the U.S. but in Canada they said that if it wasn't for fuel (which had gone down), the prices for food and other consumer goods were still too high and something had to be done quickly and strongly so that inflation does not set in for long term.   They even made it very clear that the rate hike wasn't ...more

Covid screwed them up they should have been slowly raising rates during the pandemic but decided to keep them low because of the pandemic they shot themselves in the foot.

you're right Gann ..... it was also said during this same news i watched.   Regarding the drop in house prices that Babe is talking about, I would say that it probably depends on which province we are talking about...... Correct, Toronto and Vancouver will always command a premium because that's where the jobs are as well as accessible public transit, nightlife districts, major sporting events and other desirable things.
