Good Luck to All

Most analysts will tell you that the most important factor for a company is strong management. You can have the best product or assets or be in a sector that's on fire. But if the crew in charge don't know what they are doing, it can all be for naught. Held XBC for years and at one point, it was one of my largest holdings but I just didn't like the way the company was performing this year. It was painful but I made the decision to punch out the last of my holdings 3 weeks ago when we got back to $0.99. And if you think that's BS, you can check my 25 August post on the GRN BB.

It has been a long slog and hopefully management can right themselves and turn things around as XBC's shareholders are certainly deserving. GLTA

I am sure lots of others did the same as well we are all here for a return on our investment not to watch the stock bobble around for pennies for years hoping to one day make money.

I find it unfortunate that you let yourself be influenced by the price of the stock rather than by fundamental reasons.   You seem to question the quality of current management.     Yet they have just announced the end of legacy issues, they are starting to reduce production costs and only accept contracts that bring in profits, they are only just starting to collect Summit ...more

"everything points to an upcoming improvement" ....everything? Lol the legacy issue that's everything ? Please Tony....come on! How can you be sure that it's the end of legacy issues. Starting to reduce production cost??? Good one. Production cost is about to get worse with all that inflation. We have not seen the true effect of inflation yet. Come on Tony

one thing I learned is to never believe management until they prove to be right.

Retiredcf was right. His timing was correct. He sold his shares 18 days before Xebec's CCAA trading halt. I should have been listening to him.

retiredcf seems like a really nice guy - have read his posts on other BBs. Posts analyst views from the newsletters to which he subscribes which I often find helpful. Glad he salvaged at least some of his XBC investment. Wonder how many people got the timing of their sale of XBC shares even more correct. i.e., buying in the 2.00 to 4.00 range somewhere between November 2019 and July 2020 ...more
