Exactly one week ago

One week ago today, Greenlane closed 14 cents higher than Xebec.

Presently they're 7 cents apart.

Xebec hasn't moved higher, Greenlane has moved lower.

Xebec last traded down one cent from last Friday's close, while Greenlane has shed eight cents.

I've often claimed here that Xebec's discounted price to book affords Xebec shareholders a degree of protection not enjoyed by Greenlane shareholders.

Greenlane trades at one-point-eight times its book value, while Xebec is trading now at point three-three times book.

A sideways way of saying this is to point out that if Xebec traded today at Greenlane's multiple-to-book, it would trade at 3.08.

This is not a prediction, it's only a statement of fact.

I'd far rather own Xebec than Greenlane here.

I think this is one you could buy here, and put it away and forget about it.

Hey TT you do realize that goodwill and intangible assets are part of the book value calculation: GRN 16M goodwill and 6M intangible Xebec 163M!! Goodwill and intangible 88M!!. Peace

Hey TT, GRN down 1.47% Xebec down 6.78% but like you said this morning 'we are used to it' Peace

this grn vs xbc nonsense started by pofs is a friggin joke.  imho within 6 months grn's s/p will be at least double that of xbc's (barring any consolidations or splits) cheers and gl ferret ps  some great buys out there with excellent yields on high quality corp. bonds

You are absolutely right Ferret. Thumbs up. 3 years ago 1M in savings could barely get you 10K in interest/GICs . right now AAA can generate 80-90k a year. And these rising yields are far from over. Peace

you have to admit this guy tt can put a spin on anythig, but the fact remains grn is only a 4x down off its highs while xbc is a modest 20.5x off its highs, there is not enough lipstick on the planet to make this pig pretty.
