Time to regroup / New ideas

My small cap names Ret.a and CTS Friday I re started a small position on IFP. Peace please share any other names Xebec CCAA procedures are going to be a long drawn out process. If they remain public, you can expect 99% dilution to existing shareholders. My opinion. Peace

Filoux, Did RET shareholders get wiped out during the CCAA process? I'm asking because you post about RET very often. I don't follow RET that closely.

Here's my take on Reitmans because their creditors were unsecured debt the Reitman family negotiated a sweetheart deal offering 90M for the approx 160M owned. Immediately got a new 100M revolver crdit line from BMO, shut down 30 percent of stores increased ecommerce effort and back in business. The shareholder base remained intact!!!! Shareholders did not get wiped out.  Be careful drawing a direct comparison between Xebec and Reitmans.  Pre Covid Reitmans was floundering.  Revenues and store count had peaked many years ago (2010).  Canada like the US had too many malls.  Ecommerce only brands were squeezing gross margins.  The company owned their head office and warehouse.  When Covid ...more
