Confused by NR

"Yappn's Global Image Sharing & Storytelling Platform Begins Influencer Program Rollout" as per title in NR.

I thought Fotoyapp was launched globally already? Why could not the NR say something like this:

"Yappn's Fotoyapp Begins Influencer Program Rollout".

Maybe I am oversimplifying things?
