Because as a real business they will have enough capital execute a cannabis retail strategy, 700m x .10 = $70 million less cash of plus $35m = $35 million cap which is nothing. The next question to ask is why? My guess Solo Liquor chain gets rolled in. What did Aurora pay for a 20% interest in unprofitable LIQ? Solo is said to have 80 stores in out of the way places and possibly over $200 million

As a former investor in liq,I think you are right. Solo has a good business in alberta with intense competition from the chains.i think the plan in the past was to hope for a buyout from liq or go bigger scooping independents but that never came to pass.probably roll both entities into one as stand alone subs once the dust settles.
