They are promising to pay 30% of earnings as dividends..so look at the statements.. Ii will all depend on earnings which might come down as recession hits.

DeanEdmonton Also remember that you must complete paperwork to avoid the 25% withholding tax. Does this work for Canadians too? Where to find the documents to be completed. Thanks

If I have ZIM in my rrsp I don't pay withholding tax, correct?

The tax is withheld at source. You may want to call ZIM and see what they say. My bett is they will withhold unless you file the paper work, they have no idea your shares are in an RRSP.

I am waiting for my Dec dividend to arrive in my TD account. Will report what I get.... And compare it to their stated amount. This is a solid long term company so getting close to 10% div every three months..all I can say is...WOW..!!
