I found 2 sites that have free chat rooms, both look firewall friendly.  they are located at miningnerds and allstocks (canadian room) , both are dot com and I am not affiliated with either site, i go there often to look and its aleways empty.

I have full level 2 access and do about 40-60 trades a week , everyone is welcome even if you only do 1 trade a year.  the purpose of the group is to maximize on good oportunities and minimize losses by alerting each other.
