Puma Exploration (TSXV:PUMA) has released results from a 2023 drill program at its Williams Brook Gold Project in New Brunswick.

In a news release, the Rimouski, Quebec-based company stated that results include the first 11 holes from the program, with all holes intersecting the targeted quartz veins.

Assay results returned from anomalous gold (0.10 g/t) to 42.60 g/t, while gold mineralization was shown to extend over 90 metres from surface in a series of stacked high-grade quartz veins.

The company stated assay results for 13 additional holes for a total of 2,200 metres, including 42 samples of visible gold, are still pending.

“The first holes of our Phase 1 2023 campaign were drilled to map and test the newly identified veins discovered at surface at Lynx earlier this year and the depth continuity of the interpreted high-grade shoots at Lynx,” Marcel Robillard, CEO of Puma Exploration, said in a statement.

Robillard added that the company intersected 15 veins and all contributed gold, whether or not they contained visible gold.

“That’s significant because it highlights the continuity of mineralization at Lynx and the potential for a large mineable system that remains open along strike and depth,” he added.

The Williams Brook Gold Project includes six claim blocks covering more than 44,650 hectares in northern New Brunswick, which is located near the Rocky Brook Millstream Fault.

Puma Exploration is focused on its precious metals projects in New Brunswick.

Shares of Puma Exploration are unchanged at C$0.12.
