Astrix Networks Inc. (TSX: V.OEE, Stock Forum) fell 2.6% to 18.5 cents Monday on news that Koss Aerospace has successfully implemented Memex Automation’s flagship MERLIN software on select machines, and is expanding to a plant-wide rollout.

Memex is an operating subsidiary of Burlington, Ontario-based Astrix.

The MERLIN software enables effective machine communication across the shop floor, speeds up production processes and can increase machine utilization by an average of 10% to 50%, Astrix said in a news release.

Koss Aerospace is a Tier-1 manufacturer of structural aircraft components and assemblies, having over 35 years of experience serving commercial aerospace and defense customers worldwide.

Astrix is trading on the TSX Venture Exchange following a reverse takeover of GPS Investment Corp.

VANC Pharmaceuticals (TSX: V.NPH, Stock Forum) rose 4% to 51 cents after the company said Health Canada had sent approvals for five new generic molecules in the form of Drug Identification Numbers (DIN) as an initial notice of consent for new drug submissions.

According to the news release, the five molecules will comprise of 14 dosage forms in a variety of therapeutic strategies, including chronic and acute therapy.

The company expects to commence manufacture of these products upon Notice of Compliance (NOC) from Health Canada which is anticipated to arrive in the next few weeks.

Xmet Inc. (TSX: V.XME, Stock Forum) eased 12.5% to 3.5 cents after the company said late Friday it has closed a $253,000 financing by way of debt conversion.

The company said it has issued 5 million units of the company to certain arm’s length creditors to satisfy $253,000 at 5 cents per unit, the company said in a press release.
