Stans Energy (TSX: V.HRE, Forum) has been embroiled in a legal brouhaha with the Kyrgyz Republic over a decision handed down by the Moscow Regional Arbitrazh Court dated July 27, 2015 and the ruling of the Moscow City Arbitrazh dated May 25, 2015 which appealed a decision of the International Arbitration Court at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry date June 30, 2014 which awarded Stans US$118,000,000.
According to
today’s news release, the company and Kutiday Mining LLC had filed a Cassation Appeal against the Kyrgyz Republic with the Chamber for Commercial Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Investors and traders showed some optimism with the announcement, sending stock on an upward surge from its almost subterranean valuation.
Shares were up 133.33% to $0.035 per share.
Acerus Pharmaceuticals (TSX: ASP, Forum) slid somewhat on the boards today on moderate trading levels. Market correction is coming for these companies and what was once an impervious sector as the rest of the pubco’s watched their SPs slip back to earth, has turned into the new battleground.
As an illustration, Valeant Pharmaceuticals has been feeling the pain as well with stocks dumping 16% today alone. It seems as though Acerus is having to weather the same storm as traders try to normalize their fascination for the sector.
Shares were down 22.50% to $0.31 per share.
