Fieldex Exploration (TSX: V.FLX, Stock Forum) shares shot 28% higher to 25 cents a share. The company sat near the top of the volume list for the TSX Venture, despite a lack of news.

Fieldex is exploring for rare earth elements in the Kipawa alkaline complex in Quebec.

While the Bullboards posters were mystified about the company’s sharp share price gains, they were in a self-congratulatory mood, and most were expecting news within the week.

Prospector7 suggested that last weekend’s Cambridge conference may have helped boost interest in the company. “Cannacord is loading up huge 50000 bid @.235 and 20000@.24 LOOKING VERY GOOD hang on for this ride the NR must be good is my guess.”

And recession_proof remarked: “REMOVE your offers to sell guys, this stock is so tight it will shoot up past .30 today or tomorrow.....whoever is selling here must not have any clue about the news coming up....anyways to each his own I guess. You will be kicking yourself this week if you're selling here.”
