TORONTO (SHfn) – Canadian Arrow Mines Ltd. (TSX: V.CRO, Stock Forum) jumped 46% to 11 cents Tuesday on news that the junior has discovered a new nickel sulphide lens at its Kelex nickel project south of Iroquois Falls, Ont. Drill hole 2011-15 intersected 5.01% nickel over one metre, making it the second hole to intersect the discovery. The new massive sulphide lens is the sixth to be discovered on the property to date.

Mindoro Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.MIO, Stock Forum) was also up 12% to 27 cents after the company tabled drill results from the Surigao nickel district of north east Mindanao in the Philippines. The latest results are from the Bolobolo and Karihatag targets. They include a 15.4-metre section averaging 1.01% nickel. The company has also picked up a permit application for ground in an area adjacent to its Tapian project.

Selwyn Resources Inc. (TSX: V.SWN, Stock Forum) rose 6.5% to 33 cents on assays from the XY Central deposit at the Selwyn project in the Canadian Yukon. Highlights include a 28.30-metre intersection, grading 10.22% zinc, and 4.90% lead. The company said it is pleased with the demonstrated continuity of high-grade mineralization that has been encountered in the in-fill drilling program and now awaits a re-estimation of the high grade mineral resources for the project.

Typhoon Exploration Inc. (TSX: V.TYP, Stock Forum) was up 3.5% to 88 cents on news that drilling has begun on the Aiguebelle-Goldfields property northeast of Rouyn-Noranda, Que. The company said drilling will focus on the area south-west of the Fayolle Deposit, which contains a 43-101 compliant gold resources of 188,000 ounces.
