On Monday, Lithium Americas (TSX: T.LAC, Stock Forum) shares climbed as much as 14% to $2.29 after the lithium junior reported the results of a National Instrument 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its Cauchari lithium brine project in Argentina. The PEA calculates a base case pre-tax NPV of $983 million, assuming an 8% discount rate, and an after-tax NPV of $715 million. The base case pre-tax IRR is 30% and after-tax IRR is 26%. Production of lithium carbonate is assumed to be 40,000 tonnes per annum.

As well, shares of Intertainment Media (TSX: V.INT, Stock Forum) shot up 68% to $2.15 as the company announced that its social media, real time, language translation platform Ortsbo.com has reached 12.2 million active monthly unique visitors.

In Tuesday trading, SAMEX (TSX: V.SXG, Stock Forum) shares jumped 89% to $1.32 after the gold junior reported early results from its multi-faceted exploration programs at its wholly-owned Los Zorros property holdings in Chile. Highlights included a 900-meter step-out drill hole at the Milagro project, which intersected multiple auriferous (gold-bearing) stratigraphic intervals, favourable for hosting gold deposits.

Also, shares of Extorre Gold Mines (TSX: T.XG, Stock Forum) moved up 18% to $8.53 as the junior miner announced gold-silver results from the first three of 21 diamond drill holes completed to date on a discovery named Zoe at Cerro Moro, Santa Cruz Province in Argentina, which included 4.84 metres at 64.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 7,530 g/t silver.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of Soltoro (TSX: V.SOL, Stock Forum) surge 22% to 94 cents after the micro cap miner reported results for three of four diamond drill holes completed on the Soledad structure at the Las Bolas primary silver deposit in Mexico, which included seven metres of one kilogram silver and 6.9 metres of 527 grams per tonne (g/t) silver.

In addition, shares of Terreno Resources (TSX: V.TNO, Stock Forum) gained 29% to 31 cents as the junior explorer said it has agreed to acquire, from a private vendor, 100% of the Jatuarana Phosphate Project, the Nova Olinda Potash Project and the Manaus Bauxite Project, all located in Brazil.

On Thursday, Newstrike Capital (TSX: V.NES, Stock Forum) shares powered 35% higher to $2.29 after the gold-silver focused explorer reported additional drill results from its 100%-owned Ana Paula Project in Mexico, which included a 230.95 meter interval of 7.51 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Second Wave Petroleum (TSX: T.SCS, Stock Forum) shares rose 29% to $3.15 after the oil and gas producer/explorer reported that it has drilled and completed its first successful Judy Creek Beaverhill Lake horizontal oil well in Alberta under the terms of its previously announced joint venture and farm-out agreement. During the first seven and 15 days of testing the 15-36 well flowed at average gross rates of 2,145 boe/d (86% light oil) and 1,825 boe/d (86% light oil), respectively.

And, in Friday trading, North American stock markets were closed for the Good Friday holiday.
