Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, June 9, 2011

TORONTO (SHfn) – Trade Winds Ventures (TSX: V.TWD, Stock Forum) shares powered as much as 12% higher to 23.5 cents on Thursday after the micro cap miner reported additional drilling results on the Block A Joint Venture project (50% Trade Winds/50% Detour Gold), located adjacent to Detour Gold's Detour Lake gold project in northeastern Ontario, which included 4.37 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 15.0 metres.

As well, shares of Avion Gold (TSX: T.AVR, Stock Forum) added7% at $1.58 as the junior explorer announced results of drilling carried out over the Vindaloo area on the Hounde Project in Burkina Faso, West Africa, which included 2.80 g/t gold over 53.7 metres.

Rodinia Lithium (TSX: V.RM, Stock Forum), meanwhile, reported results from its continued reverse circulation drill program at its Salar de Diablillos project in Argentina, which intersected 54 metres averaging 647 mg/l lithium, 739 mg/l boron, and 7056 mg/l potassium down to the bottom of the hole. Rodinia stock popped 12% to 36.5 cents.

And, AuRo Resources (TSX: V.ARU, Stock Forum) Thursday said it has engaged Geoamerica Geological and Geophysical Services Ltda., to manage all of the company's exploration activities in Colombia. The term of the contract is 18 months. AuRo shares climbed 14% to 16 cents.
