On Monday, Romarco Minerals (TSX: T.R, Stock Forum) shares climbed as much as 15% to $1.97 after the gold junior said it has drilled the fourth best hole ever completed on the Haile property in South Carolina, which included 23.0 meters of 45.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

Rau claims, in the Yukon. Reconnaissance soil samples collected in 2005 down slope from the Crystal Springs and Ash Springs Zones returned highly anomalous zinc, lead, arsenic and numerous other gold pathfinder element values. Manson Creek believes the four Tell property gossans to be of extreme significance due to the number of successful drill discoveries made on similar gossans in the region.

In addition, shares of Critical Elements (TSX: V.CRE, Stock Forum) gained 27% to 26 cents as the micro cap explorer reported an update to the independent resource estimate for its Rose deposit in Quebec. The Rose deposit now consists of 26,500,000 tonnes of indicated resources containing 1.30% Li2O (lithium oxide) Equivalent (Eq) or 0.98% Li2O (259,700 tonnes of Li2O or 642,238 tonnes of Li2CO3 Eq), 163 ppm of Ta2O5 (tantalum pentoxide) (9,514,317 pounds of Ta2O5) and 10,700,000 tonnes of inferred resources containing 1.14% Li2O Equivalent (Eq) or 0.86% Li2O (92,020 tonnes of Li2O or 227,565 tonnes of Li2CO3 Eq), 145 ppm Ta2O5 (3,417,400 pounds of Ta2O5).

On Thursday, Rubicon Minerals (TSX: T.RMX, Stock Forum) shares powered 29% higher to $3.94 after the gold junior announced that Agnico-Eagle Mines will make a strategic investment of $70 million in Rubicon Minerals by way of a non-brokered private placement of 21,671,827 common shares at $3.23 per share. Trenching of the zone has uncovered a silicified zone and quartz vein and is being sampled for gold. Visible arsenopyrite was observed in the amphibolites associated with the quartz vein.
