Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, August 25, 2011

TORONTO (SHfn) – NQ Exploration (TSX: V.NQE, Stock Forum) shares powered 10% higher to 11.5 cents on Thursday after the micro cap explorer reported early results of the new drilling program at its 100% owned Carheil project in Quebec, which included 93.1 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 16 metres.

As well, shares of ENPAR Technologies (TSX: V.ENP, Stock Forum) rose 36% to 15 cents as the provider of treatment of waste water, desalination water and drinking water contaminated by metals or nutrients announced that it has been awarded funding in the amount of $341,644 by the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation to conduct final tests of its AmmEL System at the City of Guelph's Waste Water Treatment Plant.

5NPlus (TSX: T.VNP, Stock Forum), meanwhile, reported fourth-quarter revenue that soared 507% to $119.8 million, while net earnings for the period were $10.0 million, or 17 cents a share, representing a 130% increase compared with $4.4 million, or nine cents a share, for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. 5NPlus stock popped 14% to $8.15.

Shares of Canada Lithium (TSX: T.CLQ, Stock Forum) surged 20% to 56 cents after the junior miner announced preliminary results from the first 19 holes of a recently completed 56-hole drill program at its lithium project in Quebec, which included 15.6 metres grading 1.21% Li(2)O. The company also said the project has received additional provincial government approvals for the location of the waste dump and the mill site, and the overall environmental approval process is proceeding as planned.

and, Fire River Gold (TSX: V.FAU, Stock Forum) Thursday provided an update for the Nixon Fork Mine in Alaska. Mill commissioning started on July 4, 2011, and it has operated since that time at an average availability of 71%. A total of 3,078 tons of ore was processed in July and approximately 2,500 so far this month. Total gold recovery has averaged 78% (24% from gravity and 54% in the copper concentrate), which is close to expectations. Fire River Gold shares moved up 11% to 47 cents.
