Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Wednesday, September 7, 2011
TORONTO (SHfn) – Glen Eagle Resources (TSX: V.GER, Stock Forum) shares jumped 36% to 64 cents on Wednesday after the micro cap explorer reported the results of the channel sampling program on the Lac Lisette phosphate property in Quebec. Grab samples from the Marianne zone collected at 0.5 metres vertical intervals from a rock cut face returned 12.5%, 10.1%, 9.67%, and 8.83% P205, respectively. It is estimated that the thickness of the Marianne showing based on the exposure in the road cut is in excess of 150 metres.
As well, shares of Goldrush Resources (TSX: V.GOD, Stock Forum) moved up 17% to 14 cents as the junior miner announced the discovery of two gold anomalies and values of up to 983 ppb (0.983 g/t gold) in its initial reconnaissance soil sampling on two grids of the company's recently acquired Pompoi permit adjacent to Roxgold’s Yaramoko Permit in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Intermap (TSX: T.IMP, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said it has received a $1.8 million contract to provide digital elevation data and orthorectified radar imagery from its NEXTMap database. Intermap stock popped 16% to 28.5 cents.
Shares of Columbus Silver (TSX: V.CSC, Stock Forum) surged 55% to 17 cents after the junior explorer announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding under which Santa Fe Gold (OTC:BB: SFEG, Stock Forum) has conditionally agreed to acquire all of its outstanding common shares for 20 cents a share in cash.
And, BonTerra Resources (TSX: V.BTR, Stock Forum) Wednesday reported that it continues to receive thick widths of gold on its Eastern Extension property, which is situated 170 km northeast of Val d'Or, Quebec. Results included 15.30 metres assaying 14.85 g/t gold. BonTerra shares rose 19% to 35 cents.
