Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, November 7, 2011

TORONTO (SHfn) – Orocan Resource (TSX: V.OR, Stock Forum) shares climbed 36% to 30 cents on Monday after the micro cap explorer said it has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire a 100% interest in three graphite properties in Ontario, including the Black Donald and Little Bryan Properties.

As well, shares of Hunt Mining (TSX: V.HMX, Stock Forum) shot up 28% to 27.5 cents as the junior miner announced the signing of a Letter of Intent with Eldorado Gold (TSX: T.ELD, Stock Forum) with respect to certain mineral exploration Cateos and Manifestations of Discovery in Argentina.

Canstar Resources (TSX: V.ROX, Stock Forum), meanwhile, reported that Vinland Resources has agreed not to proceed with an appeal of Judge Faour's decision rejecting Vinland's claim to the Mary March mineral property in Newfoundland. In consideration, Canstar and Xstrata have agreed to waive their entitlement to costs. Canstar will proceed with plans to resume exploration of the property. Canstar stock popped 50% to 18 cents.

And, Sprott Power (TSX: T.SPZ, Stock Forum) Monday announced that its Board of Directors has approved the introduction of a dividend policy, instituting an annual four cent cash dividend, payable quarterly. Sprott Power shares rose 15% to 71 cents.
