Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Wednesday, November 30, 2011

TORONTO (SHfn) – SilverCrest Mines (TSX: V.SVL, Stock Forum) shares surged 14% to $2.25 on Wednesday after the silver junior reported that it has begun its Phase II drilling program at the La Joya property in Mexico. The company has also completed surface channel sampling in the Phase II proposed drill hole area along and adjacent to the main mineralized trend with results showing surface intervals with grades up to 1,079 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent.

As well, shares of Goldbrook Ventures (TSX: V.GBK, Stock Forum) gained 53% to 23 cents as micro cap explorer/developer said it received from Jilin Jien Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. a request for Goldbrook’s consent to make a 30 cents a share cash offer to Goldbrook shareholders to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Goldbrook.

GLG Life Tech (TSX: T.GLG, Stock Forum), meanwhile, announced the signing of a renewable five-year product supply agreement with International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. for high-purity Rebaudioside C extracts. GLG stock popped 47% to $1.15.

And, Ocean Park Ventures (TSX: V.OCP, Stock Forum) Wednesday reported the first results of its 2011 exploration program at the Trapper project in British Columbia, which included 22.86 metres of 2.51 g/t gold in mineralized porphyry. Ocean Park Ventures shares slipped 15% to 35 cents.
