Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, February 13, 2012

TORONTO (SHfn) – Corvus Gold (TSX: T.KOR, Stock Forum) shares climbed 11% to 84 cents on Monday after the micro cap miner reported the first results from its 2012 exploration drilling program on the North Bullfrog Project in Nevada, which included 15.3 metres of 2.36 grams per tonne (g/t) gold starting at 11 metres below the surface.

As well, shares of The Medipattern Corporation (TSX: V.MKI, Stock Forum) shot up 48% to 21.5 cents on volume of more than five million shares as the developer of medical imaging software solutions announced that its new Visualize:Vascular is now being used in four states in the U.S.: New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Central Iron Ore (TSX: V.CIO, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said an initial exploration target on the Perinvale South Iron Ore Hub in Australia has been estimated to be between 510 and 850 million tonnes of iron mineralization at an expected grade of 30%-43% iron. Central Iron Ore stock popped 21% to 11.5 cents on more than one million shares traded.

And, Canada Lithium (TSX: T.CLQ, Stock Forum) Monday reported that it has secured a $75 million debt facility from the Bank of Nova Scotia and Caterpillar Financial Services to fund its open pit lithium mine and processing plant in Québec. Canada Lithium said the project is on track to be commissioned later this year and once completed is slated to produce over 20,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate every year. Canada Lithium shares added 9% at 75 cents on volume of more than 2.8 million shares.
