“Good production at higher grades than anticipated. If you check out the most recent quarterlies you can see that higher grades are the theme of the last few months. They were a little slowed on expanding the leach pad, which is key to reaching 36,000 tpd. If you do the math on 36,000 tpd and assume an average of 1 g/t (with recovery of 80% on the oxide portion), you can get to over 300k ozs without much trouble. If they start falling back to the grades assumed by the mine plan of 0.69 g/t and assume marginal 60% recovery, then you still end up with 175k ozs. If they keep increasing cash by such notable amounts per quarter they could potentially fund the development of the sulfide processing plant.” From eebler on the Rio Alto Mining (TSX: T.RIO, Stock Forum) board.
