Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Friday, April 20, 2012
TORONTO (SHfn) – Newstrike Capital (TSX: V.NES, Stock Forum) shares fell 10% to $2.16 on Friday after the gold junior reported the next series of drill results completed in the 2012 drill program in progress at its 100%-owned Ana Paula Project in Mexico, which included 25.03 meters of 5.10 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.
As well, shares of New Zealand Energy (TSX: V.NZ, Stock Forum) added 10% at $3.12 on volume of more than 1.5 million shares after investment firm Canaccord Genuity initiated coverage on the company’s stock with a “buy” rating and a 12-month price target of $4.50.
Sterling Resources (TSX: V.SLG, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said it has signed a sale and purchase agreement with TAQA Bratani Limited for the sale of a 13.5% interest in the North Cladhan area in the UK North Sea for an initial consideration of US$47 million. Sterling Resources stock popped 14% to $1.72.
And, Sanatana Resources (TSX: V.STA, Stock Forum) Friday provided assay results from the final four holes of the nine-hole Clam Lake claim drill program on its Watershed Property in northern Ontario, which included 26.1 metres of 3.96 g/t gold. Sanatana shares rose 14% to 21 cents.
