Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, July 3, 2012

TORONTO (SHfn) – Radius Gold Inc. (TSX: V.RDU, Stock Forum) rose 12.5% to 22.5 cents on Monday after the company released the results of an update provided to it by Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX: T.FVI, Stock Forum) on Radius Gold’s Tlacolula property in Mexico. Fortuna has reported that surface mapping and sampling have identified a large and untested low sulfidation epithermal vein system on the property. Highlights from channel sampling include 6.30 metres, averaging 19.34 grams per-tonne gold and 986 grams per-tonne silver. Drill- testing on the Tlacolula mineralized vein system is scheduled to start in mid-July.

Cardiome Pharma Corp. (TSX: T.COM, Stock Forum) gained 9% to 52 cents after the company announced that Chief Executive Officer Doug Janzen has left the company. William Hunter, a member of the company’s board of directors, has been named interim CEO. Janzen joined Cardiome as Chief Financial Officer in January 2003, and occupied positions of increasing responsibility until his appointment as CEO in August 2009.
