On Monday, Red Eagle Mining (TSX: V.RD, Stock Forum) shares climbed 14% to 57 cents after micro cap explorer reported additional assay results received from the recently completed 24-hole, 5,400 metre drill program at the San Ramon gold system located within the Santa Rosa gold project in Colombia, which included 7.0 metres at 41.53 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Kaminak Gold (TSX: V.KAM, Stock Forum) rose 10% to $1.90 as the junior miner announced that drilling expanded the Double Double zone in the Yukon to 400 metres in strike length. New results from these zones included 12.5 g/t gold over 13 metres.

InTuesday trading, Golden Arrow Resources (TSX: V.GRG, Stock Forum) shares jumped 13% to 31.5 cents after the micro cap explorer reported multiple, near-surface silver intercepts from drilling at the Silver Mantos target on its Chinchillas Silver Project in Argentina, which included 29 metres at 631 grams per tonne (g/t) silver.

Also, shares of Inter-Citic Minerals (TSX: T.ICI, Stock Forum) moved up 11% to $1.37, in addition to a 17% gain on Monday, as the gold junior said it is engaged in negotiations with a third party interested in acquiring all of Inter-Citic's shares. The company added that the terms of a potential transaction continue to be negotiated and, other than a confidentiality agreement, no written agreement has been entered into with this party.

Wednesday’s market action saw shares of Cline Mining (TSX: T.CMK, Stock Forum) sink 43% to 34.5 cents on volume of more than 8.7 million shares after the coal miner announced that it will be temporarily suspending production at its New Elk coal mine in Colorado to manage costs.

In addition, shares of Frontier Rare Earths (TSX: T.FRO, Stock Forum) shot up 25% to 60 cents as the explorer/developer said Korea Resources Corporation has confirmed a $23.8 million investment for an initial stake in Frontier's Zandkopsdrift rare earth project in South Africa.
