Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Monday, Aug. 24, 2012 TORONTO (SHfn) – Shares of Dynacor Gold Mines Inc. (TSX: T.DNG, Stock Forum) rose 17% to 76 cents Friday after the company announced that it has set an all-time monthly gold production record from operations in Peru. Dynacore’s ore processing mill produces gold from the processing of ore purchased from local producers. The company attributed July’s record gold production of 5,701 ounces to the purchase of gold ore with an abnormally high grade which was delivered to the plant in June.
Monument Mining Ltd. (TSX: V.MMY, Stock Forum) was unchanged at 44 cents after the company reported that recent drilling on the Mengapur polymetallic project in central Malaysia confirms historic drill hole assays completed by Malaysia Mining Corp. in the 1980s, and which formed the basis of the historic feasibility study completed in 1990. Monument acquired a 70% interest in the Mengapur project in February, 2012. It completed nine core holes in the A Resource Zone between April 2011 and December 2011. Assay results received through March 20, 2012, include 185.6 metres of 0.47% copper, 0.33 grams gold per tonne, 2.29 grams silver, and 0.0020 molybdenum.
