Petroamerica up 11% on well test results: Canadian market movers

On Friday, the top TSX mover was Poseidon Concepts Corp. (TSX: T.PSN, Stock Forum). The stock fell 0.2% and was trading at $4.99 on volume of 6.7 million. On Nov. 14, the safe fluid handling solutions company reported weaker results in its third quarter due to slower activity in its core U.S. operating regions.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX: T.BBD.B, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It was up 2.68% and was trading at $3.07 on volume of 7 million shares. The transportation manufacturer said Flexjet, the first fractional jet ownership company to offer shares on the all-new Learjet 85 aircraft was showcasing the new model on Wednesday in Dallas, Texas.

Petroamerica OilCorp. (TSX: V.PTA, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It jumped 11.11% and was trading at $0.30 on volume of 4.7 million. On Nov. 15, the junior oil and gas explorer said test results at its Las Maracas-5 well, located in Colombia, shows flowing at 3,700 barrels of oil per day.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Strategic Oil and Gas Ltd. (TSX: V.SOG, Stock Forum). It rose 2.44% and was trading at $0.84 after 4 million shares changed hands. On Nov. 13, the energy company presented at the FirstEnergy/Societe Generale EnergyGrowth Conference in Toronto.
