Cline plunges 66% on missed payment: Canadian market movers

On Tuesday, the top TSX mover was Cline Mining Corp. (TSX: T.CMK, Stock Forum). The stock plummeted 65.71% and was trading at $0.06 on volume of 13.2 million. The exploration and development company said that it was unable to make the semi-annual interest payment of US$2.5 million that was due Dec. 17, 2012 on US$50 million worth of 10% senior secured bonds.

Yellow Media Inc. (TSX: T.YLO, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It lost 8.33% and was trading at $0.055 on volume of 4.3 million shares. On Dec. 14, the media and marketing solutions company said that the Québec Superior Court has issued its final order and approved the company's proposed recapitalization.

Orko Silver Corp. (TSX: V.OK, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It was down 0.42% and was trading at $2.38 on volume of 2.9 million. On Dec. 16, First Majestic Silver Corp. (TSX: T.FR, Stock Forum) announced it was acquiring the silver development company for a total consideration of approximately $387 million.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Argus Metals Corp. (TSX: V.AML, Stock Forum). It dived 33% and was trading at $0.01 after 2.3 million shares changed hands. The mineral-focused exploration and development company had no related news to explain the high volume of trading.
