The TSX composite was marginally rose 0.94 points to 12,824.56 in mid-morning trading on Friday. The Dow was up 25.99 to 13,851.32, while NASDAQ gained 11.291 to 3,141.67.

According to published reports, Enbridge Inc. (TSX: T.ENB, Stock Forum) is working on plans to move Canadian crude oil to the eastern Gulf Coast region of Louisiana and Mississippi. The stock was up 0.56% to 44.235 a share in mid-morning trading.

The price of gold lost US$6.095 to US$1,661.96 an ounce, while silver slipped US$0.235 to U$31.42 an ounce.
