Exploration junior sinks 32% on drilling results

(TSX: T.SUE, Stock Forum) lost 1.3% to 76 cents after the precious metals company said it had closed the $24 million private placement financing with Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (TSX: T.AEM, Stock Forum) announced on April 9, 2013. As a result of the transaction, Agnico-Eagle owns 9.96% of Sulliden's issued and outstanding shares on a non-diluted basis.

Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: T.ORV, Stock Forum) was down 4.3% to 89 cents after the copper and gold producer said that the strike at its Don Mario Upper Mineralized Zone open-pit mine in Bolivia reported on April 11, 2013 has ended. The strike was related to the demand by the union for certain payments alleged to be owed to union employees in respect of two periods between 2002 and 2012 which payments were not part of the labour agreement at those times.

Aurcana Corp. (TSX: V.AUN, Stock Forum) fell 6.7% to 56 cents after the silver producer released a video of its President and CEO, Lenic Rodriquez, discussing the company’s 2012 year end results. The company generated record revenues for 2012 and produced 45% more silver equivalent than in 2011 while decreasing cost per silver ounce net of by-products by 16%. Aurcana Corp. has completed a third mill expansion at their La Negra project on time and on budget, and will start processing more ore in April.

GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSX: V.GQC, Stock Forum) plummeted 32% to 27.5 cents after the exploration company announced assay results from eight drill holes on the company's 100% owned Las Tres Palmas trend in the Dominican Republic. Highlights from the drilling results included 10.11 metres grading 2.72 grams per tonne gold and 0.09% copper and 16 metres grading 0.76 grams per tonne gold and 0.35% copper.
