Melkior Resources (TSX: V.MKR, Stock Forum) Friday reported results from a May 2013, follow-up sampling program on its 100% owned Launay gold project in the Abitibi region of Quebec, this according to a company news release.

The explorer added that eight grab samples from this location averaged 1.95 g/t gold.

Melkior added that historical work has identified gold occurring intermittently over a distance of approximately three kilometres with concentrations at Zone 75 and the Principal Zone. To date there has been no deep drilling.
