Rio Alto Mining (TSX: T.RIO, Stock Forum) Wednesday advised that, further to the June 3 announcement, normal operations have resumed at the La Arena mine site, this according to a company news release.

Rio Alto does not expect that its production guidance for 2013 will be affected due to this situation.

On June 3, 2013, the company announced that it had temporarily stopped mining activity at its La Arena gold oxide mine in Peru due to protesters setting up a blockade on a road the company uses to transport people and supplies.
