Resource junior up 20% on production update

Lachlan Star Ltd. (TSX: T.LSA, Stock Forum) rose 20% to 18 cents after the mining and exploration company said it had produced 5,924 ounces of gold and 4,270 ounces of silver in May, with an average sale price of US$1,387 per an ounce.

Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (TSX: V.PAN, Stock Forum) was up 10% to 22 cents after the diamond exploration and development company announced it has discovered a second kimberlite at its 100% owned Tsabong North project in Botswana, Africa. Pangolin's newly discovered Magi-02 kimberlite at Tsabong North, along with the previously announced Magi-01, are two of seven new kimberlites found in Botswana in the last five years. Based on these positive results, two additional core drill holes intersecting at least 100 meters of kimberlite will be drilled on the Magi-01 and Magi-02 kimberlites for kimberlite indicator mineral and microdiamond recovery.

BNK Petroleum Inc. (TSX: T.BKX, Stock Forum) rose 1.3% to 77 cents after the international oil and gas company announced that its 2013 Annual General Meeting will be held on July 19. At the meeting, in addition to the regular annual meeting business shareholders will be asked to approve ordinary resolutions approving an Advance Notice Policy and Restricted Share Unit Plan for the company and minor alterations to the company's articles.

Tethys Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: T.TPL, Stock Forum) fell 4.3% to 89 cents after the oil and gas exploration and production company announced the completion of the farm-out agreement with subsidiaries of Total Exploration and Production , a Calgary-based energy company, and China National Petroleum Corp., a state-owned oil and gas company, whereby each acquired a one third interest in its Bokhtar Production Sharing Contract in Tajikistan. The Bokhtar PSC covers an area of some 35,000 squared kilometres and contains some 27.5 billion barrels oil equivalent of gross unrisked mean recoverable prospective resources.
