Teck Resources (TSX: T.TCK.B, Stock Forum) Thursday announced that it has appointed Ian Kilgour as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective June 20, 2013, this according to a company news release.

Kilgour has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry and since February 2011, has served as Teck's Senior Vice President of its coal division. Before joining Teck, Ian was President and CEO of Compania Minera Antamina.
