Verde Potash (TSX: V.NPK, Stock Forum) Monday announced the appointment of Antônio Schettino as its new Chief Operating Officer, this according to a company news release.

Schettino is the former COO of MMX Mineração e Metálicos, where he was responsible for managing and expanding iron ore production facilities with approximately eight million tonnes of annual capacity in Minas Gerais state.

Verde Potash’s current COO, Pedro Ladeira, will continue with the company as a technical advisor focusing on its pyro process.
