Here are the most active stocks on Wednesday mid-morning on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.

On Wednesday, the top TSX mover was Bombardier Inc. (TSX: T.BBD.B, Stock Forum). The stock lost 1.1% and was trading at $5.015 on volume of seven million.

Today, the transportation equipment manufacturer delayed its CSeries Aircraft maiden flight for a second time citing more time needed for the highly technical last steps to validate the overall systems and ongoing software integration. First flight is expected to occur in the coming weeks.

TORC Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX: T.TOG, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It fell 1.3% and was trading at $1.49 on volume of 5.7 million shares.

On July 16, the exploration, development and production company announced a $510 million acquisition of low decline, high netback, light oil producing assets in southeast Saskatchewan and a strategic transition of the company's business model to an intermediate light oil producer paying sustainable dividends while also delivering disciplined per share production growth.

Cavan Ventures Inc. (TSX: V.CVN, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It gained 16.7% and was trading at $0.07 on volume of 5.8 million.

On July 23, the junior mining company said that it had received TSX Venture Exchange approval for the acquisition of the CAGE claims adjoining the Albany graphite deposit that is presently under advanced exploration by Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. (TSX: V.ZEN, Stock Forum). This prospect, now 100% owned, borders a significant discovery recently made by Zenyatta.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Brookemont Capital Inc. (TSX: V.BKT, Stock Forum). It rose 10% and was trading at $0.055 after 3.9 million shares changed hands.

On July 12, the exploration company announced that upon review of the Geological Survey of Canada and Ontario Department of Mines aeromagnetic airborne data, a significant geophysical magnetic low anomaly is evident on the recently acquired "Albany East" hydrothermal graphite prospect in Ontario. The magnetic depression (low) on the company ground similar to the magnetic depression identified in the same survey over the Zenyatta ground. The magnetic depression outlined on the BKT claims measures over 2.6 kilometres by 1.6 kilometres using the scale on the aeromagnetics map.
