Here are the most active stocks on Monday mid-morning on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.

On Monday, the top TSX mover was BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX: T.BB, Stock Forum). The stock lost 6.4% and was trading at $8.50 on volume of 5.2 million.

On September 20, the Waterloo, Ont., company warned of a second-quarter loss of almost $1.0 billion along with tumbling sales of its new smartphones. BlackBerry releases its quarterly results Friday.

IAMGOLD Corp. (TSX: T.IMG, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It slipped 0.8% and was trading at $5.17 on volume of 2.5 million shares.

Today, the gold producer said it will release its third quarter 2013 financial results after market hours on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. Also a conference call will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern Time) for a discussion with management regarding the company's operating performance and financial results for the third quarter of 2013.

Metallum Resources Inc. (TSX: V.MRV, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It was up 16.7% and was trading at $0.105 on volume of 3.4 million.

The exploration and development company had no news to explain the high volume in trading.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was KWG Resources Inc. (TSX: V.KWG, Stock Forum). It fell 9.1% and was trading at $0.05 after 1.9 million shares changed hands.

On September 16, the junior miner announced a business plan for the development of the Ontario Northland (ONR) transportation utility to gain access to the Ring of Fire.
