A report on TSX and Venture companies that have hit their 52-week high and low during trading on Friday, January 10.
The first company on the TSX to hit a 52-week high was
Paladin Labs Inc. (
TSX: T.PLB,
Stock Forum), which hit a new high of $126.40 after gaining 1.8%.
In its latest news the pharmaceutical company announced the early termination of the HSR Act waiting period and Canadian Competition Act compliance in connection with Endo Health Inc.'s proposed
acquisition of Paladin Labs on December 19.
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (
TSX: T.CNQ,
Stock Forum) was the second company to get to a 52-week high. The company rose 2.7% to $36.07.
On January 9, the oil and gas company announced that it had elected to retain the
Montney acreage, maintaining over one million net acres in Western Canada.
On the low side of the TSX,
ShawCor Ltd. (
TSX: T.SCL,
Stock Forum) lost 2.8% to $39.555 a share.
The energy services company provided an
operational update on January 9.
Serica Energy Plc. (
TSX: T.SQZ,
Stock Forum) fell 2.1% to a new 52-week low of $0.235 a share.
Today, the oil and gas company announced that it has been offered a Traditional Licence in the latest stage of the
27th Offshore Licensing Round, announced by the Department of Energy and Climate Change on Friday 29 November.
On the Venture, the top 52-week high gainer was
Gold Reserve Inc. (
TSX: V.GRZ,
Stock Forum), which rose 5.5% to $4.22 a share.
On October 22, the exploration junior announced results of an
Aeromagnetic survey.
Coopers Park Corp. (
TSX: V.XCP,
Stock Forum) was second on the list with a climb of 21.2% to $0.80 a share.
The development and marketing company with three residential condominium properties in Vancouver, British Columbia, had no news.
On the low side,
Pinecrest Energy Inc. (
TSX: V.PRY,
Stock Forum) slipped to a new 52-week low of $0.375 after losing 8.5%.
The production and development company reported its
third quarter 2013 results on November 27.
And finally,
Goldrock Mines Corp. (
TSX: V.GRM,
Stock Forum) dropped 9.1% to $0.30 a share.
On May 1, Goldrock provided
maiden metallurgical results from the Arizaro project in Argentina.
