Here are the most active stocks on Tuesday mid-morning on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.

On Tuesday, the top TSX mover was Bombardier Inc. (TSX: T.BBD.B, Stock Forum). The stock was up 1.8% and was trading at $3.97 on volume of 7.4 million.

On January 22, the transportation equipment manufacturer celebrated the delivery of the airline's 51stQ400 turboprop airliner in Portland, Oregon. The aircraft, which is a NextGen model, is the last of three ordered by Horizon in June last year, solidifying the airline's position as the world's largest operator of Q400 aircraft.

Air Canada (TSX: T.AC.B, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It lost 10.7% and was trading at $7.77 on volume of 7.2 million shares.

On January 27, the Canadian Press reported on the company’s recent hiccups, including “misplacing Olympic snowboarding equipment, denying a flight to an Alberta soldier with post-traumatic stress disorder, losing a dog it was transporting and seeing the flight plans of thousands of customers disrupted when severe winter weather hit Toronto.”

Primary Petroleum Corp. (TSX: V.PIE, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It gained 25% and was trading at $0.30 on volume of 3.2 million.


On January 21, the exploration and development company provided additional information concerning its proposed transaction with Keek Inc., a global interactive video content network. The transaction is structured as a three-cornered amalgamation and, as a result, the amalgamated corporation will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Primary at the closing of the amalgamation.

The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was Red Pine Exploration Inc. (TSX: V.RPX, Stock Forum). It slipped 19.1% and was trading at $0.085 after 2.5 million shares changed hands.

Today, the exploration-stage company reported results from its late December 2013 drill program on the Cayenne-Chili property, located 110 kilometres southwest of Timmins, Ontario. Drilling results included 27 metres of 8.0% zinc, including 12.7 metres grading 13.6% zinc.
