Starcore International Mines (TSX:SAM, StockForum), a Vancouver-based firm engaged in the extraction, processing and exploration for gold and silver in Mexico, released production figures for Q2 2014 at its San Martin Mine located in Queretaro, Mexico.
A total of 78,509 tonnes were processed at an average grade of 2.55 g/t gold and 21 g/t silver, producing 6,028 gold equivalent ounces – a 21% increase over the same period in 2013. This haul resulted in the company reporting its third consecutive quarter with 6,000+ produced gold equivalent ounces.
According to the news release, “Mill recoveries averaged 86.8% for gold and 51.9% for silver. These recovery rates compare very favorably to Q2, 2013 when recoveries were 79.7% for gold and 55.2% for silver.”
Starcore International Mines was in the news recently when the company posted the best annual production numbers since 2007.
