Pan American Fertilizer (TSX-V:PFE, StockForum), a Vancouver-based mineral exploration firm engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties, made some moves in the market today as companies like Satori Resources spike 66% on news of entry into the medical marijuana market.

Bullboarders are openly calling for the company to formally and publicly shift focus into the medical marijuana sector and it seems as though investors, caught up in the medical marijuana mania, feel that Pan American is a prime contender for immediate entry into the business and may already be quietly setting up an engagement in the sector.

Adding to the linking of PFE to the marijuana business is the fact that the President of Pan American was, until recently, Scott Walters, the Medical Marijuana industry consultant recently hired by burgeoning Satori Resources (TSX:V.BUD, Stock Forum), which is thought to be planning marijuana grow operations out of a Flin Flon mine shaft.

Walters is said to be a key advisor to PFE.

Pan American was in the news recently when the company provided an operational update at the end of February.

Shares jumped 142.86% on said speculation to $0.17 per share.

Currently there are 34.2m outstanding shares with a market cap of $5.8 million.
