Theralase (T.TLT) up 5% on news of German conference demonstration

Theralase Technologies Inc. (TSX: V.TLT, Stock Forum) saw its stock price rise 5% to 33 cents Tuesday after the company said its Photo Dynamic Compound (PDC) technology has been approved for presentation at the International Conference on Laser Applications in Life Sciences conference.

The conference is scheduled to take place in Ulm, Germany in June 2014, the company said in a press release.

Theralase said its PDC technology has proven effective in the destruction of bacteria and cancer.

At Tuesday’s trading levels, Theralese has a market cap of $22 million, based on 66.5 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is 56 cents and 16.5 cents.
