Moseda Technologies (
TSX: V.MSD,
Forum) expanded their market reach when the company announced today that it had been issued a Medical Device Establishment License (“MDEL”) by Health Canada.
According to the
news release, the license gives the company the ability to import Class III medical devices and distribute them within Canada.
Company CEO, Nicolas Murray, commented on the milestone, “Obtaining a Medical Device Establishment License is one of the key steps towards adoption of our healthcare software. The ability to access software market share through the sale of already commercialized devices is a major component of our go-to market strategy.”
He went on to explain, “We have seen growing demand for mHealth and telemedicine solutions from private and public institutions in order to reliably support remote patient monitoring programs. mHealth and telemedicine technology allow for more efficient, convenient and potentially more cost effective delivery of care.”
Then he summed up, “Offering patients and physicians reliable health devices to perform routine check-ups and health assessments remotely is a key factor in determining the long-term success of such programs.”

when the Vancouver-based company was highlighted in the Daily Screed by Stockhouse’s own Chris Parry.
Shares were down 1.56% on the news to $0.315 per share.
Currently there are 42.4m outstanding shares with a market cap of $13.4 million.
