Claren Energy provides operations update

Claren Energy Corp. (TSX: V.CEN, OTCQB: CNENF, Forum) today announced an update on its drilling operations at the onshore Bobocu gas field, located in the foreland basin of the Carpathians, approximately 150 km northeast of Bucharest, Romania.

The Company reports that the Bobocu 310 side-track well has encountered Lobe G, Corcova sands, as well as two additional gas-bearing sandstone intervals above the Corcova reservoir. The Bobocu well is primarily targeting Lobe G and BW2 sands of the Corcova reservoir. Further information can be found here.

Claren Energy was recently in the news last month when it announced the closing of the final tranche of its private placement.

The Company has 59 million shares outstanding and a market cap of $11.3 million.
