PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (TSX: V.PYR, OTCQB: PYRNF, Forum) said today it has received the first order for 3D printing powders from a multinational conglomerate which cannot be named for competitive reasons.

More information can be found here.

PyroGenesis is a high-tech company that designs, develops, manufactures and commercializes plasma waste-to-energy systems and plasma torch products.

Further to a press release dated March 30, 2017, PyroGenesis said it has received the down payment for an order of titanium powder (Ti-6A1-4V) and Inconel from the multinational conglomerate.

PyroGenesis was in the news recently when the company said it has completed the assembly of its first powder production system, with the first powder run exceeding expectations and ramp-up already underway.

“The first production run not only exceeded our expectations in terms of powder quality and production rate,’’ said PyroGenesis Chief Technology Officer Pierre Carabin. “But it also marked the official start of the ramp-up period and a critical step in achieving our stated goal to become a leading supplier of high purity powders catering to the Additive Manufacturing industry.

Powders produced during the ramp-up phase will be available for sale. The initial focus will be on producing pure Titanium powders.
