PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (

Forum) on Thursday announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued two unrelated U.S. Patents to the company.
U.S. Patent No. 9,447,705 targets the environmental industry and relates to improving the recovery of energy plasma gasification processes as well as conventional fossil fuel incinerators.
U.S. Patent No. 9,752,206 targets the mining and metallurgy industry and relates to using plasma torches instead of diesel burners in blast furnaces during iron ore pellet induration.

PyroGenesis was in the news recently when the company said it has successfully completed the ramp-up phase of its first plasma atomization system.
