"Hi, I’m Jesse McConnell, Co-Founder and CEO of Rubicon Organics, soon to be one of only two publicly traded certified organic cannabis producers in North America. Rubicon Organics holds proprietary intellectual property to produce premium quality certified organic cannabis with greenhouse operations in British Columbia and Washington State and with offtake agreements in California. These geographies represent 58% of the expected cannabis market by 2021 with over 83 million people.
Our assets consist of our own 20-acre site in British Columbia where our newly renovated 120,000sq.ft greenhouse and lab is located, this facility will be euro GMP certified allowing us to serve export markets and we are awaiting our License to Produce from Health Canada in Q3 2018. Our second owned asset is located in Washington state, sits on 16 acres and we built a custom designed Thomas Larsen 40,000sq. ft high tech greenhouse which is about to enter production in Q3 2018. These two assets are expected to enter production in Q3 2018 producing an estimated 15,400kg/year.
Our third area of operations is with a contract grower located in Santa Barbara, California, one of the best areas for cultivation given its bio security, providing us with 120,000sq.ft of outdoor growing capacity and allowing us to launch our flagship brand called 1964 – the year THC was discovered by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam. Rubicon has in place an exceptionally strong sales team and we expect to break $1m in sales per month shortly in California alone.
Rubicon’s proprietary IP allows it to grow ultra high grade 100% certified organic cannabis and at record low cash costs, about $0.50/gram once the facilities are through their ramp up phase. In addition, our certified organic products command a price premium given their quality and unique characteristics.
Rubicon vision for the future is to build a global premium cannabis company with a strong branded presence. In order to this, we require 3 things:
- HQLC production – which we have done
- Premium retail brands and premium CPG brands – check!
- Multi-jurisdictional distribution – Soon to be announced!
Rubicon’s flagship brand, 1964, has been launched in California to rave reviews. We built this brand with the help from key artists like Jeremy Fish, and Tristan Eaton , who created the inspiration for our graphics and packaging. This brand foundation was built in California, the largest cannabis market in the word, and we intend to bring it to other states and countries.
Rubicon has been working tirelessly for the past three years building its assets, establishing its brands, assembling an all-star management and cultivation team, Board of Directors, sales and marketing, distribution, etc. and it is time to take the company public via a direct listing. This is expected in Q3 2018 surrounding the commencement of production.
