Gold prices have seen a strong rally in the past few months, continuing to sell over $1,900 / oz with a recent run above $2,000 that many expect will happen again as stock markets continue to demonstrate volatility. Investors have been turning to gold stocks with greater interest as of late, especially those who operate in prolific gold regions like the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
One of the most prolific gold regions in the world, the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, has seen more than 170 million ounces produced over the last century. It stretches more than 500 kilometres by 350 kilometres across the provincial border between Ontario and Quebec with a high mineral potential and very scalable jurisdiction that many companies (both Canadian and international) flock to explore and develop their mine projects.
Given the vertically extensive and gold-rich nature of many of the Abitibi deposits, such as the Windfall Lake Gold Project under
Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. (TSX: OR), as well as the
Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. (TSX: KL) deposit, there is certainly the potential for more ounces to be found at depth. One newcomer to the area trading on the Venture Exchange is
Great Bear Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: GBR), who has seen astounding success.
For ground-floor access into this rich zone, investors need look no further than a Company following Great Bear’s model -
ArcPacific Resources Corp. (TSX-V: ACP) - a Canadian exploration Company that is expanding the exploration initiative at multiple historic past producing gold and silver mines in the Timmins Gold Camp, Ontario. The Company also holds the right to acquire 100% interest in the Blackdome project in Southern BC’s Nicola Mining Division, and the Silver Lode – Lucky Mike Project near Merritt, BC.
In mid-October 2020; ArcPacific mobilized a crew to its Rickard Gold property to conduct a drone-based Lidar and imagery survey to cover the area over and surrounding the historic past producing high grade gold mine, and the adjacent prospects. This will allow the Company to pinpoint the exact locations of the historic workings including the mine shafts, surface workings, test pits, roads, drill sites, and historic infrastructure. Early reports on the project from ArcPacific describe “spectacular” visible gold mineralization.
ArcPacific is strategically consolidating land surrounding the historic high grade Rickard Gold mine in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, the project is located approximately 70 kilometres from Timmins in the Timmins Gold Camp which has produced over 80 million ounces of gold over the last 100 years. The Company completed another acquisition where claims contiguous to the Company’s existing Rickard Gold Project total 5.09 square kilometres. This new acquisition expands the total size of the property by 50%. To find out more about this acquisition, click

Very limited exploration drilling had been done on the property’s well-developed vein systems, and given the significant vertical extent of many greenstone hosted quartz carbonate Archean lode gold systems in the region, the Company sees the potential to define a greater extent of the high grade shoots historically mined. There is a strong structural control on the high-grade gold mineralization, according to early indications, which suggest that the historic high grades mined could not only extend to depth, but also be repeated an en-echelon structures elsewhere on the property.

Arc Pacific Resources Corp. is now positioning itself in one of the premier gold jurisdictions in the world and is an emerging company that should be on the minds of many investors who want to do deeper due diligence for leveraged investment into precious minerals . The Abitibi is famous for its deep, steeply dipping high-grade gold deposits and the next drill program should be full of high potential targets.
