A new all-Canadian carrier announced on Monday that it has received conditional approval for flight crew (pilot) training from Transport Canada.
Effective immediately,
Canada Jetlines Operations Ltd. (NEO: CJET, Forum) has final approval for its pilot training program, granted once Transport Canada has reviewed the training conducted under the program and it proves to be satisfactory.
Canada Jetlines CEO Eddy Doyl called this a milestone for the company in
a news release on Monday and first crew will start their pilot training program this month and are scheduled to have completed simulator training in the later part of February 2022.
“The Airbus 320 is a great aircraft and a pleasure to fly. I haven’t flown a commercial aircraft in the last four years, and I am a little envious of our pilots going on course.”
Targeting a start in 2022, the all-Canadian carrier was created to provide passengers another choice to travel to their favorite destinations within the US, Caribbean, and Mexico destinations, with a projected growth of 15 aircrafts by 2025.
