The 10th edition of the International Investment Forum (IIF) is set to kick off on Feb. 21, 2024, bringing together innovative companies from climate protection, biotech, energy, technology and mining sectors. With major asset managers like T. Rowe Price and JP Morgan Asset Management and analysts forecasting 2024 as the year for second-tier stocks, the IIF will provide a virtual platform for up to 20 companies to showcase their potential.

Organized by Manuel Hölzle, CEO of research company GBC AG and Mario Hose, Managing Director of Apaton Finance GmbH. The IIF aims to highlight the unique opportunities arising from the anticipated turnaround in interest rates. Manuel Hölzle, emphasizes the transformative impact of technology across various industries, presenting investors with opportunities in innovative and traditional sectors.

The changing interest rate landscape since 2022 has posed challenges for growth companies, but signs of an impending turnaround offer improved financing conditions. Small cap stocks, often overlooked, stand to benefit, presenting potential for share price growth.

Illustrating this potential, Cardiol Therapeutics, a Canadian biotech company, has seen a remarkable 70% increase in its shares over the past year, showcased at previous IIF editions. “After three decades, globalization has entered a new phase and presents companies and governments with new challenges. For example, the element tungsten, which is so relevant for armaments, has hardly been mined outside of China to date. This is already a geostrategic challenge today,” says Hose, referring to IIF participant Almonty Industries, which develops the largest tungsten mine outside China.

The IIF, featuring company presentations and Q&A sessions led by GBC AG analysts, offers a concise snapshot of market trends. Details on participating presenters, free registration, and the schedule can be found below.
